On behalf of

Tenth Society, Young Lawyers for Obama (Atlanta),
Generation Obama (Atlanta), and E.S.Q. Events,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank
you for your participation in our fundraiser last
night @ the exclusive Geisha House!
Last night, we definitely proved that Democrats
are a force to be reckoned with in Georgia's Presidential
race this November. An eclectic mix of young entrepreneurs,
businessmen and women, politicians, doctors, consultants,
lawyers, accountants, and entertainment industry
professionals came out, full-force, in strong
support of Senators Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
The result -- Over $10,000 was raised by Atlanta's
Young & Powerful for the Campaign for Change.
In case you weren't able to
make it, the night was truly an overwhelming success.
Singer/Songstress Joi (Host for the evening and
winner of this year's "Heineken Independent
Achiever Award") opened the night and greeted
a crowd of hundreds of enthusiastic Obama supporters.
Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin did not disappoint,
delivering an excellent keynote address that was
both inspirational and touching. She was followed
by Lee Goodall, State Field Director, Obama for
America, who highlighted the importance of voter
registration initiatives here in Georgia. Artistically,
Sam Collier, a newly signed artist on Regatta
/ Universal records, performed the inspirational
record "Change" acappella with just
an acoustic guitar, and then continued with an
energetic performance. DJ Q-Storm (Atlanta Hawks)
and DJ J-1 (Urban Legends, Hot 107.9) kept things
moving. Finally, spoken word artist Cocktails
(aka ePeriod), delivered a powerful piece that
was empowering and uplifting.
Other notables
in attendance:
State Director of Obama for America, Antwaun Griffin,
Obama for America Representative Kimberli Greene,
Mayoral Candidate and Atlanta City Councilmember
