Young & Powerful Community Event
Monday, we joined Ben Affleck, Martin Luther King III, Herbie Hancock, Serve DC, 10 Universities and DC Office of the Mayor and many others, as we answered the national call for community service and participated in feeding hundreds of D.C.’s homeless. Working in this capacity was our most humbling and most joyous of any of the events. No matter what success our organization has, if there are still members of our society that aren’t given an opportunity for upward mobility, none of us are a success.

Young & Powerful Black Tie Gala
Later that evening, over 800 young and powerful professionals let their hair down for our marquee event…The Black Tie Gala. With the theme focused on the heritage of Barack Obama, participants dined on Polynesian, Indonesian, and Kenyan cuisine and were entertained by Howard University’s soulful gospel choir and both an African and Hawaiian dance ensemble. We danced the night away and celebrated the success of both our organization and President Barack Obama.
